I graduated from Newcastle University with a BA (hons) in French and Business Studies. Soon after graduating I spent a few years working in the banking world as a contractor. I had been interested in health and nutrition for years before I finally decided to turn my passion into a career, and after some consideration left the word of finance behind me to become qualified in nutrition. Training through The Centre for Nutrition Education (CNELM), I have completed a PGDip in Personalised Nutrition and I hope to be awarded my MSc in summer 2019.
I have always been very active in one way or another. I played most sports at school and took up rowing when I joined University. I rowed for nearly five years before stopping due to injury and since this time I enjoy mainly callisthenics, a discipline which combines elements of gymnastics and body-weight exercises. I also enjoy films, books, walking in nature, and spending time with friends and family.
My mission is to help individuals achieve their health goals through the use of tailored nutrition, allowing them to live a healthier and happier life. In addition to this it is also my mission to inform and educate as many as people as possible about the science of nutrition. There is so much conflicting and confusing information surrounding nutrition in the press and media today. I aim to both dispel the myths and inform the facts of nutrition, based on the established science and research.
